Why do we still use emails?

Companies should forbid the use of emails and have everything in SFDC. Incoming emails should be routed to the proper account or contact event record. An area for internal stuff could become a public bulletin board.
Email is a drag on the use of SFDC and should be dropped as much as we dropped memos.
